Go Texan Day!

Tomorrow is our Go Texan Day! Our teachers have planned lots of fun activities for the children. Please be sure to dress your child in their western wear. We will have chicken and beef chili and Ms. Cox's class will make cactus-shaped cornbread.

Weekly Menu and our Mardi Gras Party

Tomorrow we will have a Mardi Gras Party for the children! This is a long-standing tradition we had for years at our other location in Cypress that began with one of our long time employees. As a Louisiana native, she has celebrated Mardi Gras with her family for many years and brought the revelry to Building Rainbows. The children would delight in her colorful beads and fun party hats and shirts she wore for them the week before she left for Mardi Gras. Over the years the children participated in "parades" with their classmates, made King Cake for snack, tossed beads and party favors to one another, and became the Kings and Queens of the Mardi Gras Parade.

In keeping with tradition, we will have our very first Mardi Gras Party on Tuesday. Please dress your child in purple, green, and/or gold. Ms. Cox's class will make the King Cake and we will have beads and trinkets for the children.

Here is this week's lunch menu (a change has been made to Friday's lunch for our Go Texan Day - Chicken and Beef Chili with Cactus Cornbread).

Sweetheart Breakfast

Today was our Sweetheart Breakfast - everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! Ms. Walters did a fabulous job of making perfect pancakes that were super yummy. Thank you all for coming and joining us. Reminder: next week is the children's Valentine's Party - please remember to sign up. Also, be sure to check with your child's teacher if we have any new enrolling children which will affect the number of party favors, treats, etc.

Ribbon Cutting

Yesterday we had our ribbon cutting ceremony and we had several visitors from the Tomball Chamber of Commerce come by to help us celebrate! Mr. Steve brought delicious cupcakes from Crave Cupcakes - he sure likes to bring us all yummy treats!

All the visitors loved our school and commented on all our beautiful children. Pictures were taken in front of the school with some of your children - we will let you know where they will be posted soon.

Enrichment classes for some of our groups have begun already. Spanish, Sign Language, Theater, and our Gross Motor Skills class are in either their first or second week. Ask your child's teacher for more info!
